Christian Discipleship
“Every good and true Christian should
understand that wherever one may find the truth, it is the Lord’s.”
-Saint Augustine
Like Paul, our prayer is that our love of the Lord Jesus will "abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment" (Philippians 1:9). To be a disciple of Jesus is to be a student of him who is Truth (John 14:6). Therefore, at Saint Gregory's we are committed to the study of Scripture and to the tradition of the Church's teaching throughout the ages. For our children, we are committed to providing them with a fun and fully biblical environment in which they can discover the Jesus who invited them especially into his presence (Mark 10:14). For our young people, we build upon this biblical foundation, iniviting them to engage the world and their faith intelligently and honestly. We hope, as Peter said, to enable them to have an "answer ready for the people who ask you the reason for the hope that you have" (1 Peter 3:15). For these and all ages, we hope to make disciples of the Lord, not denying our intelligence nor the gift of revelation. In all things we silence our hearts to hear the truth of Jesus.
