Events This Week!

 

This Week at St. Gregory’s~20 June to 26 June 

Tonight’s Vestry meeting will begin with Mass at  7pm. 
 
Rosary will be prayed Wednesday evening in the Church following the 6pm  Mass.
 
The Diocese is hosting a Summer Book Drive.   The new books collected from this drive will benefit children experiencing distress from poverty, parental unemployment or incarceration or other causes and will be distributed through faith-based agencies.   Bring new children’s books (picture, story, chapter, bible books or children’s books in Spanish) to donate and place them in the wicker basket at the back of the church.  The book drive ends July 25. 
 
Preschool Summer Camp continues.  Enrollment is available for children ages 18 months to children entering 1st grade in the fall.  Enrollment is by the week.  Contact Mindi DiBenedetto or Cathy Saffle at the church office to register.  Theme for this week is:  Noah’s Ark and God’s Promise!  Activities for the week include:  Monday-Thursday:  Bible Story; Monday:  Math; Tuesday: Art; Wednesday:  Science; Thursday:  Music.   
 
St. Gregory’s Social Senior Lunch Bunch meet at noon this Friday!  Friday’s lunch bunch will meet at 12pm at Habanero’s Mexican Cantina, 6407 S. Cooper, Arlington.  If you plan to attend please RSVP to Frances Morrison (817-473-9090) by Wednesday. 
 
St. Gregory’s Nifty Fifty Dinner group will meet this Saturday evening!  The Nifty Fifty Dinner group will meet at the home of Bill and Candace Griffin, 502 British Ct., Arlington at 6pm.  Please RSVP to Candace by Wednesday and let her know what side dish you will bring to dinner. 
 
Adult Forum for the summer!  Father Rogers will continue with the study of the Sunday readings in the Parish Hall from 9:15-10:15. 
 
Remember to support the Food Drive!  The local food banks continue to need our support.  Please leave your donated food items in the box at the back of the church"Give your food to the hungry and care for the homeless.  Then your light will shine in the dark; your darkest hour will be like the noonday sun."  Isaiah 58:10
 
Needs!  We have two single parent families who are in need of an inexpensive car.  Please contact Father Rogers if you can help or know someone who can help these families. 
 
Consider buying your Fall Flowers from the Preschool!   The Preschool will be taking orders for pansies and hanging baskets in August for delivery in September.  Please tell your family, friends and neighbors.  Joycelyn Brownlow (817-860-2937) has all the details.
